Biancamano Group S.p.A.was established in 2004 following the acquisition of Aimeri Ambiente S.r.l., company operating in the municipal hygiene area, and of Ponticelli S.r.l., merged into Aimeri Ambiente S.r.l. from 01/01/2013, company for the most part dealing with the management of waste disposal facilities. In December 2009 it acquired Manutencoop Servizi Ambientali, transaction enabling it to become the first private group in Italy.

Aimeri Ambiente S.r.l. has a long tradition in the field of environmental hygiene. The company’s name derives from Aimeri of Mondovì (CN), a historic waste collection company in the province of Cuneo, the first to expand into other regions in Northern Italy. Founded in 1973, Aimeri was acquired by the gas distribution company Camuzzi S.p.a. in 1995. In 1998 it was accompanied by other important acquisitions such as the Impresa Maddalena in Lombardy, Ispa in Piedmont, Gea in the Veneto region and Saeco in Voghera, until reaching in the following year a workforce exceeding 1200 units. The transition to Biancamano Group was in 2004, and it is here that it takes its current name of Aimeri Ambiente and becomes one of the major operators in the sector nationwide.

The group, through the ex subsidiary Ponticelli S.r.l., has been operating in the environmental services sector since 1977, and is mainly involved in municipal solid waste disposal through its facilities located in the Imperia area. In 1987 Ponticelli, with the strength of its ten-year experience, implements a process of business renewal with the aim of offering a better and more efficient public service, also from the economic point of view. At the end of the 80’s, within the business renewal and growth programme, Ponticelli extends its offer integrating its disposal services with  municipal solid waste collection and transport activities. The original activity, limited to landfill disposal work, has  evolved over the years, through the acquisition of important technological and organizational capacities, towards an offer of structured environmental services in a more rationally integrated overall context. Ponticelli S.r.l. has been merged with and into Aimeri Ambiente S.r.l. with effect from 01/01/2013.
